A Community Gathering in the Heart of History

Every Tuesday evening from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, the community comes alive at the Tularosa Farmers Market, hosted within the historic, open-air stone walls at the corner of 3rd Street and Granado Street. This weekly market provides a bustling gathering place for residents and visitors to support local agriculture, discover unique handcrafted goods, and experience the warm hospitality of our village. It is a true celebration of modern community life, framed by the deep, enduring roots of Southern New Mexico’s regional heritage.

Where Legends Once Played

The very ground beneath the market stalls carries an extraordinary piece of territorial history. The enduring walls enclosing the market once housed Toby Tipton’s Saloon, the legendary site of a high-stakes card game featuring some of New Mexico’s most famous historical figures, including Pat Garrett, Albert Jennings Fall, and George Curry. In later years, the historic space transitioned from a wild territorial saloon to serve the community as the Champion Grocery Store. Today, that incredible legacy of gathering and commerce continues.

Vendors are always welcome to join this thriving market, stepping into a historic venue where Tularosa's storied past perfectly aligns with its vibrant present.
